6 Oz. (about 1½ Cups) Macaroni Twirls
1 Lb. Ground Beef (at least 1 Lb., sometimes 1/2)
1 Pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix
½ Cup Dried Minced Onion (Found By Spices)
1 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese (I'm sure I use the 8 oz. pkg. which is 2 cups)
1 Box Cherry Tomatoes, halved
½ Head Lettuce, chopped fine
1 Green Pepper, diced
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1½ Cup French Dressing (put in more if it looks like it needs it)
5½ Oz. Pkg. Taco Flavored Chips (I use Dorito's and crush as many as looks good)
Cook macaroni as directed on package. Drain and rinse with cold water. (I do this a day or two of time and just put in Ziploc bag until ready to use).
Brown meat and drain fat. Add taco seasoning and mix well. Cool. (I do this ahead of time and put in fridge or way ahead of time and freeze, then thaw when ready to use).
Day of: In large bowl mix macaroni, green pepper, minced onion, cheese, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Chill.
Just before serving stir in meat, dressing and chips. (I think I usually put the meat in with the above and just add dressing and chips at very end. I usually have the chips all broken into pieces in Ziploc bag ahead so easy to mix in the end).
